Eric Rosenfeld

Two-time founder. Robotics software engineer at Productive Robotics.

Eric builds robotics software for Productive Robotics in Carpinteria, CA — motor control, EtherCAT and CAN bus integration, welding and plasma cutting UIs, and AI-assisted documentation tooling. He was the sole developer on a $100M automated food-service system and shipped a Miller Electric welding integration in about three weeks that Miller's own team had estimated at over a year.

Before robotics, he spent four years as an automation engineer at Global Contract Manufacturing, building ERP integrations and computer-vision QC systems that replaced 16 hours of manual labor per day. He interned at Tesla on power electronics validation, designed automated guided vehicles for Tesla's production floor at Pampa Technologies, and taught mechatronics labs at San Jose State.

He started ChangeUs because he kept watching people care about things in their community — a pothole, a zoning fight, a school budget cut — and have nowhere to take it. BS Mechanical Engineering (mechatronics focus) from SJSU. Tau Beta Pi, David Brown Mechatronics Scholar, Thomas Award for Excellence. Published solar transit research presented at ASES 2016 and to the U.S. Department of Transportation.
