7 months waiting for a VA appointment — this is unacceptable

I served two combat tours, came home with a service-connected back injury, and I've been on the wait list at the local VA for SEVEN months for a basic pain management consult. Every time I call I'm told the schedulers will get back to me. They don't. Every time I email I get an autoreply. I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for the care I was promised when I enlisted. Please escalate this with the VA on my behalf and let me know what your office does to help veterans cut through this kind of wall. Thank you for your service to those of us who served.
