The suspect, who worked as an in-home caregiver, allegedly accessed and misused the financial accounts of an elderly care recipient in Goleta. This disturbing incident highlights a significant issue of trust and safety for our elderly population, who depend on caregivers for support. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is now seeking additional victims, urging the public to report any relevant information. This situation raises serious concerns about the oversight and regulation of in-home caregivers, especially in our community where vulnerable seniors deserve protection.
